The Yale MBA for Executives: Leadership in Healthcare
Educating the next generation of healthcare leaders.

How do entrepreneurs, executives, healthcare and other professionals aspiring to lead change in the healthcare industry become top-performers? It's a question our corporate partners have struggled with, and one that we've devoted a great deal of research and planning to. The result of our efforts is the Leadership in Healthcare program, with its combination of sophisticated management tools and cutting-edge thinking about current and future developments in healthcare. The program combines the Yale School of Management’s MBA curriculum with a dynamic peer student group and a deep concentration on the challenging problems facing healthcare.

For executives and talent development professionals planning for the future of healthcare and the leadership of their organizations, Yale’s Leadership in Healthcare program is the answer to “how to prepare the next generation of healthcare leaders.” Beginning with its mission of “educating leaders for business and society,” its innovative curriculum, its goal to teach students how to apply management tools and instill the value of collaboration, communication and accountability in tackling the hard problems that matter, Yale students emerge ready to lead.

Key benefits for you as an employer include:

  • School of Management’s MBA curriculum with its integrated core curriculum and use of “raw” cases to reinforce integrated thinking and decisionmaking.
  • A student body of entrepreneurs, executives, healthcare and other professionals who aspire to lead change in healthcare.
  • Close programmatic and intellectual connection to Yale University and all its professional schools.
  • The ability to maintain full-time responsibilities while attending class on alternating Friday/Saturday weekends.
  • One-to- one interaction with faculty, visiting scholars, and industry leaders.

We regularly meet with organizations’ leadership who want to learn more about how Yale SOM graduates can help create strategies for their organizations’ most pressing issues. "We decided to support Will's (Mintz, class of '08) studies at Yale SOM because the program complemented his development track. This program offered him the opportunity to engage with other business professionals while fine tuning his financial, management and organizational skills. In a short time, we have seen positive results reflected in his work and approach to business solutions."
